Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Entebbe to Bwindi
We head south-west via the equator and Mbarara to Bwindi, or you can take a short domestic flight to Kisoro and save most of the day.

Day 2
Gorilla trekking
A full day in the forest to spend one hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family.

Day 3
Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth via Ishasha
North through the Ishasha sector to look for the tree-climbing lions, then on to your lodge.

Day 4
Kasenyi plains & Kazinga Channel
A morning game drive on the Kasenyi plains and an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

Day 5
Queen Elizabeth to Kibale
North past the crater lakes to Kibale, with an afternoon walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Day 6
Chimpanzee tracking
Track a habituated chimpanzee community through Kibale forest, then a relaxed afternoon at the lodge.

Day 7
Kibale to Murchison Falls
A long but varied drive north via Hoima and Masindi to the Nile.

Day 8
Game drive & boat cruise to the falls
A morning game drive on the Buligi circuit for elephant, giraffe and buffalo, then an afternoon cruise to the base of Murchison Falls, past some of East Africa's largest Nile crocodiles.

Day 9
Top of the falls & on to Ziwa
A stop at the top of the falls, where the entire Nile forces through a 7-metre gap, then south to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Day 10
Rhino tracking & return to Entebbe
Track southern white rhinos on foot with a ranger, then drive on to Entebbe for your flight.
